The Department of Engineering of the University of Nicosia invites applications for 2 part‑time faculty positions in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a specialty in one or more of the following or related areas: microprocessors, microcontrollers, electrical and electronic circuits, telecommunications, and signal processing. The positions are for the Spring 2026 semester and may be renewed upon satisfactory performance.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and, preferably, a good publications record. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence. Since the language of instruction is English, the candidate must be fluent in English. More specifically, the required qualifications are:
- A PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of effective teaching in English.
- Autonomy in developing and organizing the material to support students’ learning.
The following qualifications are highly desired and will be considered to the advantage of a candidate:
- Graduate level teaching experience in the fields of Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Professional experience in the same field.
- Strong evidence of potential for scholarly research.
Job description:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses with or without laboratory sessions. Some administrative work might be required.
