The Department of Social Sciences of the University of Nicosia is opening a full-time position for "Practicum Coordinator" for the graduate program in Clinical Psychology (MSc Clinical Psychology).


The Practicum Coordinator is based at the Center for Therapy, Training and Research (KESY) and works closely with the Program Coordinator and the Head Practicum Coordinator and KESY Director to oversee, coordinate and ensure the smooth progression of all practicum activities for the students of the MSc Program in Clinical Psychology.


Responsibilities


The main responsibilities of the Practicum Coordinator are:
  • Preparation, organization and implementation of the practicum of the Clinical Psychology students
  • Identification and fulfilment of students' educational needs during the Practicum stage
  • Overseeing the continuous and smooth collaboration with practicum sites and supervisors
  • Visits to practicum sites for the purposes of coordination and/or supervision of students
  • Delivery of practicum seminars and training workshops
  • Provision of individual and group supervision
  • Evaluation of student progress during practicum
  • Organization of and participation in student examinations for readiness to enter practicum and readiness to enter professional practice
  • Close collaboration with the Clinical Psychology Program Coordinator
  • Close collaboration with the Head Practicum Coordinator
  • Participation in team meetings of the Center for Therapy, Training and Research

Qualifications


  • The applicants should:
    • hold a master's in Clinical Psychology and at least 5 years of clinical experience, or a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and at least 3 years of clinical experience
    • be registered in the Registry of Professional Psychologists to practice in the Republic of Cyprus
    • be fluent in both Greek and English.
    • Have previous experience in supervision
