The University of Nicosia invites applications for the role of IT Support Engineer. This is a hands-on technical role focused primarily on user support, while also contributing to basic IT operations and working closely with the Network Team to maintain reliable campus IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students for hardware, software, printing, connectivity, and standard business applications.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user devices, peripherals, and software.
- Support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration for staff and student tenants, including user accounts, licensing, mailbox access, permissions, and core service troubleshooting.
- Assist with user administration in Active Directory / Entra ID, including account lifecycle tasks and group membership updates.
- Perform routine IT operational tasks, including software updates, endpoint checks, documentation, and asset inventory maintenance.
- Work closely with the Network Team to assist with basic network-related troubleshooting, endpoint connectivity issues, and support during deployments, office moves, and service incidents.
- Perform scheduled checks and basic support for classrooms, labs, and audiovisual equipment.
- Follow IT security, data protection, and operational standards, and liaise with vendors or internal stakeholders when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Good knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and standard IT support tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, and basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
