Full Time Faculty Social Sciences Department (Assistant or Associate Professor)

The Department of Social Sciences of the University of Nicosia invites applications for a tenure-track position for the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning in Spring 2025.

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join our team as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Social Sciences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cognitive Psychology or Neuroscience, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities:

•       Conduct high-quality research in the field of Cognitive Psychology or Neuroscience, with a focus on AI.
•       Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, and related areas.
•       Supervise student research and provide mentorship.
•       Contribute to departmental and university service.

Qualifications:

•       Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
•       Demonstrated expertise in AI, as evidenced by a track record of research in this area.
•       Strong record of research publications.
•       Experience in teaching at the university level.
•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
