Part Time Faculty in Electrical Engineering

The Department of Engineering of the University of Nicosia invites applications for 2 part-time faculty positions in the field of Electrical Engineering, with a specialty in the following or related areas: Electrical and Electronic Circuits, Telecommunications and Signal Processing. The positions are for the Spring 2024 semesters and will be renewed upon satisfactory performance.


QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and, preferably,  a good publications record. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence. Since the language of instruction is English, the candidate must be fluent in English. More specifically, the required qualifications are:

  • A PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field;
  • Evidence of effective teaching in English;
  • Autonomy in developing and organizing the material to support students’ learning.


The following qualifications are highly desired and will be considered to the advantage of a candidate:

  • Graduate level teaching experience in the field of Electrical Engineering;
  • Professional experience in the same field;
  • Strong evidence of potential for scholarly research.


Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses with or without laboratory sessions. Some administrative work might be required.
