The Department of Computer Science at the University of Nicosia invites applications for a full-time academic position at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in Machine Learning or Generative AI. This position is based at the Nicosia campus.

The Department seeks high-calibre scholars with a demonstrated, evidence-based research record, strong teaching capability in English, and a proven capacity to attract research funding and to lead the development of competitive proposals, particularly at the Assistant Professor level.


Qualifications:

  • A Doctorate in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and research.
  • Ability to teach in English.

  • A cover letter stating specialisation and related experience
  • A full Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a complete list of publications and names and positions of two referees.
  • A 2-3 page research statement describing previous and current research, as well as future plans
  • A short description of the teaching methods up to 2 pages.
