The University of Nicosia seeks an experienced Counselling Services Coordinator for the Centre for Therapy and Research (KESY).
The successful candidate will lead, develop, and manage the joint Counselling Services unit, ensuring that high-quality, ethical, student-focused care is delivered in alignment with institutional goals and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, operate, and supervise all Counselling Services for students of the University of Nicosia.
• Oversee intake, assessment, treatment planning, service delivery, and record-keeping while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Implement and evaluate short-term psychotherapeutic interventions and arrange referrals to KESY, the Counselling Services Officer, or external providers when longer-term care is required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for mental-health crises involving students or staff; activate emergency protocols, coordinate referrals, and liaise with internal departments and external partners.
• Develop, update, and enforce policies and procedures that ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and accreditation requirements.
• Supervise Clinical/Counselling Psychology Trainees completing their practicum at the Counselling Services site.
• Fulfill all staff obligations associated with KESY.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on service utilization and outcomes, using findings to guide continuous service improvement.
