UNIC Athens, the University of Nicosia's academic and research base in Greece, combining internationally ranked teaching with state-of-the-art facilities, is inviting applications from individuals interested in faculty appointments at its School of Humanities and Social Sciences for the following fields:


  • Developmental Psychology
  • Counseling Psychology
  • School Psychology
  • Educational Psychology
  • Forensic Psychology

Qualifications:

PhD in a relevant field.


Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of teaching experience.

About the Department of Social Sciences:

The 2025 THE World University Rankings by Subject has placed Psychology at UNIC among the top 301-400 globally. The Department of Social Sciences offers nine programmes across Psychology, Social Work, and Criminology, including Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Social Work; Master's degrees in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, School Psychology, Educational Psychology, Criminology, and Social Work; and a Doctoral degree in Psychology.

At UNIC Athens, the Department is in its initial stage of establishment and currently offers a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with plans for programme expansion.

Faculty members play a crucial role in advancing the Department's research agenda and contributing to its strong research output, including publications in high-impact journals. Social responsibility is a core departmental value, demonstrated through initiatives such as the Center for Therapy, Training and Research, which provides mental healthcare services and psychological support to both the general public and the university community.
