The University of Nicosia (Department of Health Sciences/Pharmacy Program), Cyprus, invites applications for one new full-time faculty position at the Rank of Lecturer of Assistant Professor in the Pharmacognosy (including Chemistry of Natural Products and/or Biotechnology of Medicinal Plants).
The Pharmacy Program at the University of Nicosia is committed to advancing research and providing high-quality education in the field of Pharmacy (MPharm)and Regulatory Affairs (M.Sc).
The position is a permanent (tenured tracked) starting from September, 2025. The position involves research and teaching in Pharmacognosy and Chemistry of Natural Products.
Qualifications:
1.1 Candidates for the rank of Lecturer must hold a Doctorate. There must be potential for high level of teaching, for publications from his/her Doctoral research and for a successful academic career.
Minimum requirements:
A Doctorate
Potential for high level teaching and scholarly work
1.2 Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor should have qualities suggesting a high level of teaching ability in the relevant academic field and should demonstrate quality research and scholarly work.
Minimum requirements:
A Doctorate
At least three years of autonomous higher education teaching experience and/or research after the award of his/her doctorate
Evidence of high-level teaching and scholarly work
Original publications in international refereed journals, books and conference proceedings
2. Ability to teach in Greek and in English
3. A Bachelor's in Pharmacy or MPharm could be a beneficial qualification
